The ZAD-50CE is an acoustic/electric with a warn, full sound. There is
absolutely no string buzz. I love the tonality.
Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar is personally modified by Denny Zager according to his
"string science" method to play much easier than ANY comparably priced
and many more expensive instruments. It is an absolutely beautiful
looking guitar - checked thoroughly by Denny before being shipped.
Reliability/Durability : 10
All Zager guitars come with a lifetime warranty and a 100% money back
guaranteed - including freight costs. It is built to last.
Customer Support : 10
Zager Guitar has an incredible customer support staff and policy. Emails
are answered within 12 hours. The warranty is lifetime.
Overall Rating : 10
I just received my ZAD-50CE. It arrived right on schedule (I arranged
to work from home to be here for delivery). The guitar is beautiful
and plays as E-Z as advertised. The sound is rich and full, without
the tone thinness found in "reasonable" priced acoustics. A co-worker,
who owns one of your guitars, was praising it to the skies. I had to see
for myself and went to your website. Initially, I couldn't believe the
prices for the guitars, especially how they were described. There seemed
to be too much value for the price (and it was on special - $50
discount). Then I started reading the testimonials. Unbelievably
positive. You couldn't do better if you wrote them yourselves. And a
100% money back guarantee. OK, I was convinced and ordered the 50CE. The
only regret was that you didn't have the sunburst in stock (but I didn't
want to wait).
I've owned guitars since 1964, when I received a Zimgar electric (as bad
as you'd think). Since then I've owned a Gretsch Tennessean, Gibson SG,
Fender acoustic, Ovation Adamas, '77 Ibanez Standard (which I still
play) and the Zager. It plays and sounds better than any acoustic I've
tried, including Martin. I would only replace it with another Zager. Too
bad Denny doesn't sell electrics.

smaller body mahogany cutaway with spruce top, sealed Grover tuners, gloss finish, built in electronics system w/equalizer and electronic tuner, abalone inlay around sound hole.
Sound : 10
The smaller body doesn't have the booming bass of a dreadnought, but the natural overall sound is surprisingly rich and full. Highs are crisp and clean, great for fingerpicking. Through a simple cube amplifier with light effects, the guitar sounds great, very lyrical and melodious.
Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
Finish is beautiful, guitar looks flawless. They really paid attention to detail and it shows. Action is amazingly easy without the buzzing that can occur when strings are lowered too far.
Reliability/Durability : 10
The Zager ZAD has held up very well after a year and a half of owning the guitar and of constant playing. The craftsmanship is of such high quality, I'm sure it will continue to get better with age. One hardware issue to mention (see customer support section).
Customer Support : 10
The electronics system malfunctioned recently, causing a crackling noise and eventually cutting out altogether. Guitar repairman recommended contacting Zager company to find out the brand so I could buy a new one. Zager's customer service is the best; not only do
they have a 100% money back guarantee if you're not happy with the instrument, they replaced the whole electronics system for me after a year at no cost. If there were an 11 rating on your scale, I would definitely give it.
Overall Rating : 10
I also own a beautiful rich-voiced Taylor 810 dreadnought which I've had for nearly twenty years. After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis five years ago, I found it more and more difficult to play my Taylor for very long without difficulty. My ZAD is so easy
to play because of the low action, I often play for 2-3 hours at a time with no stiffness or hand fatigue. I have to confess, I hardly touch my Taylor any more! I couldn't be happier with my guitar. Not only is it a beauty; it has a wonderful tone, sound even better
amplified, and you won't find better customer service anywhere. I tell all my friends about it.

This guitar ha excellent features. It has a gorgeous finish, and is an extremely attractive looking Dreadnought. Built in eq and tuner really great. It has a solid spruce top and really sounds beautiful, both acoustically, and through an amp. The ez play modifications really make playing comfortable, and easier on the fingers.
Sound : 10
Zager guitar sounds great. It sounds as rich and clear as any high priced guitar I have heard, at a much lower price. I play it mostly as an acoustic, but it sounds just as good through an amp.
Action, Fit, & Finish : 10
The guitar came ready to go. I can see no flaws, and it looks stunning. It is jet black with a brilliant shine. It's craftsmanship is of high quality.
Reliability/Durability : 10
I believe zager guitar to be very dependable. I have only had it a short time, but it looks and feels solid.
Customer Support : 10
I was truly impressed with Zager. Dennis Zager answered my questions via e-mail within 20 minutes. He answered them thoroughly, and left me with no doubt that he really cared about his quitars, and the people that use them. He is available to be reached on the phone as well, though he was able to help me through just e-mail.
Overall Rating : 10
Love the guitar. I played many years ago, and only recently picked it back up. The ez play adjustments intrigued me (strings a little further apart, and low to the fret board), and it really helps. I have been playing at least an hour a day, and have not gotten any caluses on my fingers, and it plays and sounds like a dream. No regrets whatsoever.I did not think I would be able to find a guitar of this quality at the $595.00 price.

How did you hear about this brand?
I just found the website on the internet when researching guitars. I was suspicious at first, but am so glad I took the leap of faith and bought the guitar.
How does this guitar compare with your old guitar, other guitars, or guitars you've tried in stores?
I have owned many different guitars including high end models from Martin, Takamine, and Ovation. I have played Taylor and others in the stores. This Zager is a very nice, wonderful sounding guitar. It is much easier to play than any other guitar (with steel strings) I have held. This guitar just feels perfect in my hands.
What's your favorite part about this guitar?
What is my favorite part? The whole guitar is my favorite part. I just enjoy playing it. It sounds great, it looks great. It is a very sweet guitar that feels very good in my hands and sounds magical to my ears. It sounds great unplugged and it sounds great plugged in.
If you didn't know the price of this guitar what would you estimate the price to be?
This guitar could easily be sold for twice the price if it were sold in retail store. I would say somewhere around the $18-$1900 point would be very realistic. I have played some much more expensive guitars that do not sound or play as good as the Zager. This guitar proves a person can spend too much for a name on a guitar.
How would you rate customer support?
Customer support at Zager Guitar should be the model for customer support in America! I have always received prompt responses to my e-mail questions, doing business was very easy and seem to have a personal touch to the transaction. It is sad that other businesses seem to have lost the ability to really go out of their way to earn someone's business. Customer service with Zager guitar could not be any better in my opinion. I was very satisfied in doing business with them.
Would you recommend this guitar to others…if so why?
Yes I would. I have had an outstanding experience. I found this website accidentally and learned about Zager guitars. it takes a certain amount of risk to buy something as personal as a guitar over the Internet. I have had a couple of negative experiences doing this on eBay. However, this company offers a money back guarantee and even agrees to pay for shipping both ways if I didn't like the guitar. I took a chance, I bought the guitar, and I have been very impressed with my purchase. I now own a guitar that appeals to my eyes, ears and let's not forget, hands! I can play this guitar for hours on end and not be sore. Because of this, I know I will progress faster in my knowledge and ability to play the guitar because of me not wanting to put this guitar down.
